‘Fighter’, directed by Siddharth Anand and featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, experienced a decline in box office collections on its 12th day. The aviation thriller managed to earn just over Rs 3 crore domestically.

According to a report on Sacnilk.com, ‘Fighter’ is expected to make more than Rs 178 crore in India within just 12 days of its release. The movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, hit the theatre’s on January 25. That’s quite an impressive collection.
The first week collection of ‘Fighter’ was around Rs 146.5 crore. On the second Friday, it earned Rs 5.75 crore, followed by Rs 10.5 crore on the second Saturday and Rs 12.5 crore on the second Sunday. Overall, the film is expected to accumulate around Rs 178.6 crore nett at the domestic box office. That’s quite an impressive performance.
In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Siddharth Anand discussed the box office performance of ‘Fighter’. He mentioned that the film is a big step forward for Indian filmmakers, especially with its unique genre. Siddharth Anand acknowledged that ‘Fighter’ explores uncharted territory and is completely new, which can be a challenge for the audience. He highlighted that around 90% of the country hasn’t experienced flying or been to an airport, making it even more interesting.
In the movie, Hrithik Roshan plays the character of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty, while Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, also known as Minni. Anil Kapoor joins the cast as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, known as Rocky. Together, they come together to fight for their country. It sounds like an exciting and patriotic storyline.
