Rohit Shetty, the master of larger-than-life action flicks, recently spoke up about claims of glorifying police brutality in his films. He’s the genius behind the cop universe, and his next installment is going to be “Singham Again.” In an interview with Film Companion, he confidently stated that he’s not in support of ‘killing innocent people’ and that he’s really excited about his upcoming movies. Oh, and guess what? Ranbir Kapoor even got in on the action, putting on a police uniform and shooting an ad with Rohit Shetty.
He said, it’s not cool to harm innocent people or take the law into your own hands. But hey, if someone’s shooting at you, you gotta do what you can to protect yourself, right? You can’t just welcome them with open arms! It’s all about finding that balance between standing up for what’s right and staying safe in dangerous situations.
I understand that criticism in the form of trolls doesn’t bother him. He believes that instilling fear in society is necessary. He’s clear in his head about what he’s saying, even if he gets trolled for it. He mentioned that when dealing with certain individuals, like druggies, rapists, or those who have committed heinous acts, it requires a different mindset. It’s like entering a different world when you encounter such people, especially when your everyday life is completely different.
